Community Centres
Centre For Learning
The Center for Learning addresses unemployment among women and young girls by providing skill-based training that fosters economic empowerment and gender equality. Access to decent employment and financial independence strengthens women’s confidence, decision-making power, and overall well-being, positively impacting their families and communities. Our training programs equip women with practical skills to generate their own income and become self-reliant. To achieve this, we offer the following trainings:
Computer class
Acknowledging the importance of technology, we offer computer education sessions at our centers in Behrampura and Bombay Hotel for women, girls of all ages, and boys under 14. Classes are conducted every afternoon, including Saturdays, to improve their technological skills.
Beauty parlor class
We offer extensive three-month certificate training programs in basic and advanced beautician courses, empowering numerous women and girls with essential skills for success in the beauty industry.
English Speaking
Education is the cornerstone of a prosperous society, and access to quality education is vital for everyone. Unfortunately, impoverished communities often lack this access. To address this, we offer an English-speaking program for children in the working areas
Stitching Class
Women and young girls have the opportunity to enroll in our intensive three-month training programs in both basic and advanced tailoring. Upon successful completion of the program, each participant receives a certificate recognizing their acquired skills and proficiency.
Digital Literacy Program (DLP)
The world is rapidly transforming digitally, yet not everyone benefits equally, and India faces a significant digital divide affecting marginalized communities. To address this disparity, we launched a digital literacy program for adolescent girls with a focus on leadership. This course aims to bridge the digital gap by teaching girls how to find, share, and create content using the internet as well as effectively use smartphones and computers for communication and information sharing. Key topics include effective communication and cyber safety, equipping participants with the essential digital skills to thrive in today's technology-driven world.
Mehndi Class
We are dedicated to providing comprehensive three-month training programs in basic and advanced mehndi art, aiming to empower women and girls in our community.
SozenKari
Sozen Kari is an initiative by Sanchetana Community Health and Research Center, dedicated to empowering women and adolescent girls through traditional embroidery skills. This program provides them with hands-on training in embroidery, helping them gain financial independence while preserving the rich heritage of handcrafted textiles. Each embroidery material at Sozen Kari is carefully crafted by the skilled hands of women trained through our program. By purchasing these materials, you support their journey towards self-reliance, sustainable livelihoods, and a stronger community. We also take custom orders, creating intricate designs and unique patterns to suit your embroidery works.
Area-Level Vocational Training
Sanchetana understands that access to vocational training is critical for women and girls who aspire to build their skills and earn a livelihood. To bridge this gap, we've introduced area-level vocational set-ups. These initiatives specifically target areas where our beneficiaries reside, but are geographically distant from our central Vocational Centers. For those who face challenges in commuting to our permanent centers, we offer basic beauty-parlor and Henna courses right in their neighborhoods. These courses are conducted in houses arranged by the participants themselves. Our aim is not only to provide essential skills but also to encourage them to participate in other courses at our centers. We believe that these initiatives help women and girls gradually expand their horizons beyond their immediate communities.
Capital Assistance Program
We have empowered women with determination to uplift their families' financial status by helping them establish their own businesses. Many women in small settlements often engage in low-paying labor jobs. Through financial support from Sanchetana, these women have gained the confidence and independence to break free from financial dependence. Our initiative aims to empower them, fostering self-reliance and boosting their self-esteem. This support creates a positive impact, enabling these women to become self-sufficient and confident individuals, contributing to their personal growth and economic stability.
